Reveal the Multifaceted You!

Explore creative personal development programs designed to bring about greater self-awareness and self-agency.

Humans are complex multifaceted beings. We are born with certain character traits and are shaped by many external experiences from family, friends, society, culture, workplace, environments, etc. Considering these many facets it is not surprising that we all struggle to navigate and overcome some of the challenges life throws our way.

Do you wish you could navigate and resolve your life challenges with greater speed and resiliency?

Would you like to improve your ability to relate to others in your personal and professional life? AND know when to stop trying to relate?

Would you like to gain problem-solving knowledge, skills, and tools that are customized to you?

Would it surprise you to know the ability to do all these things already LIVES INSIDE YOU?

YES! It’s that simple…  but it’s not always easy.

Allow me to expand.

We all know there isn’t some manifesting magic or some Jedi mind trickery that will get any one of us the instant results we’re looking for. Facing and changing a challenging situation can take time and a lot of work. It often takes soul searching and confronting things about yourself with an open mind to different perspectives.

What is meant by “the ability or answers are inside of you”?

In a nutshell, YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE THAT KNOWS YOU THE BEST! You know your strengths and limitations, your wants and needs, your thoughts and feelings, your values and behavior tendencies, your fears and doubts, and what makes you, YOU! All the attributes that contribute to who you are, are the things that may hold you back in life, AND yet also be THE THINGS THAT MOVE YOUR FORWARD TO ACHIEVING THE LIFE YOU WANT.  YOU are the one that holds the manual for how you best operate in this life.  All you need to do is fill the pages of your operating manual so that you can use it as a powerful tool to consult when making life decisions.

Work with Kami to build YOUR unique creative operating manual.

What is Intentional Creativity?

Intentional Creativity is creating with mindfulness.
Kami’s Intentional Creativity instructor, Shiloh Sophia McCloud, writes.

“Intentional Creativity as an approach to creating art has the capacity to catalyze consciousness. In the act of creating, we voyage on a personal journey towards something, often hidden, within our psyches. We begin with an intention, which creates a structure in which the work can be channeled. For example, a trauma that won’t heal. Then, we create and notice what arises. This arising creates an opening within us, that was once a darkened space. We can see what we did not see before in a new light. This creates the capacity for a shift in our story, and new choices arise that were previously hidden from view. Intentional Creativity can be applied to any medium and any thematic topic. Think about the way you’ve presented food and the difference between smears and disorder on the plate, a garden laid out with a purpose for optimal growth and beauty, or the set up of a meditation space with an altar or sounds to deepen the experience. This work specifically, is to take the form of CREATING as a practiced approach to consciousness in art forms and the ways we live.

Experience Intentional Creativity

There are numerous ways to practice Intentional Creativity. The simplest way is to doodle while answering an inquiry question (formally called metacognitive drawing) however you can enter into the process using any creative modality e.g., molding clay, dancing, knitting, kneading bread, gardening etc.  If you use a modality other than painting or drawing I encourage you to have access to pen and paper close by so you can journal the insights you’ve had directly after the process.  Below are three videos I’ve created to demonstrate the kind of things you might experience in a coaching session or one of my workshops.

met·a·cog·ni·tion  | PSYCHOLOGY | noun: metacognition | awareness, and understanding of one’s own thought processes.

Shiloh, my teacher, didn’t invent Intentional Creativity – it isn’t a brand – rather it is a concept of creating – that was taught to Shiloh by her mother Caron, the poet, and Sue Hoya Sellars, the Painter. Sue learned it from Lenore Thomas Straus in the 1940s, and Shiloh began to teach and share it with thousands more beginning in 2010.

Self-expression is a basic human right – which is the power of each person to have the tools to be able to share and articulate their ideas, dreams, and visions in form.
